My son had a first-grade culture assignment. Naturally, I responded by making a cinematic AI short about 16th-century naval warfare.

I researched the Kunjali Marakkars—four naval commanders who defended Kerala’s Malabar Coast—then wrote the script, storyboarded every shot, and built the film using Kling 3.0 through Claude Code and Higgsfield.

The workflow combined AI-generated start/end frames, controlled camera movement, cinematic sound design (lifted from Hans Zimmer’s Ramayana soundtrack), and an AI-generated British narrator.

The finished piece turns over a century of battles into a short cinematic narrative with a clear hook, conflict, strategy, and payoff.
